Happy 10th Deltaversary!!!!!!
10 years ago we embarked on a life-changing journey. We came from all walks of life: young and seasoned, Yankees, Southerners and Islanders, majoring in Business, Social Science, Education, Biology and Communications. Mothers, grandmother, aunts, godmothers, wives, sisters, cousins…yet when we met on that day we were there for one purpose, to begin our journey towards Delta-Land. What a journey it has been. We’ve overcome obstacles & learned lessons, we’ve laughed, cried, got married, had babies…together. What a joy to share this experience and I get to share it with 36 of the most incredible group of women. Thank you Sisters! I know that this decade is just a stepping stone for more decades to come. Let’s continue the legacy shall we…

Morning Thoughts
Good morning young world! Just saw one of my fav Sorors J! Always good to see her...so proud of her accomplishments. Thoughts running through my head: life is moving so fast & I'm still trying to play catch up. I'll be 33 soon and while this isn't old, it does give me pause. What am I doing? Am I accomplishing the goals I set? If not, why? These are the things that have been running through my mind lately. I'm getting frusturated with life because I'm not accomplishing the things I want. One of my morning prayers is 'to accomplish all personal & professional goals set from this day forth'. I totally agree with the fact that I am not. Living here is not what I want to do. It's not where I want to raise a family (which by the way has become a formative goal lately). It's not where I see myself long-term. So why do I feel trapped? I'm a work in progress and I know with dedication, hardwork and never giving up I will accomplish all I want. As Lola always says, ho nym yo, from this day forward.

Just My Thoughts
Life is ever-changing. Sounds oxymoronic kinda sorta but it’s true. You go through like with a plan & you work so hard to achieve it and when you do you revel in that victory no matter how big or small. I love that about life. The other side is when you sit and think about your future & all the things you’d love to accomplish by a certain milestone. When I was younger, I always said I wanted a big family….at least 4 children….. PAUSE… so you notice I said NOTHING about a husband. I’ve never been one to have that ‘big wedding dream’. Just not me, not who I am. Which brings me back to my point….PLAY….. Now that I’m older I realize I do want the happily ever after. I do want the ENTIRE family, not just the kids. Now my thoughts consume me. Did I make the right decision initially & shy away from relationships? Will I ever find the ‘Just Wright’ person? How old will I be? Sounds so simple. Yet for me it’s so complex. Succeeding in my everyday life (school, career, etc…) Is a no-brainer. It’s the family that gets me all worked up. Life sure is ever-changing…..but it’s also amazing.
